Davido Arrives London Press Conference On IO Hawk..Check On The Pics!

The IO Hawk is the hot new toy, everyone from Chris Brown to Wizkid has been spotted on. And yesterday Davido rolled up to a press conference in London on his own personal IO Hawk.

The IO Hawk is a high tech personal mobility device, part skateboard, part segway. It is powered by batteries and uses pressure from the user’s feet to guide it.

Davido who has been in Atlanta for a bit has taken to Instagram recently to show off pics of him riding around on his IO Hawk, so it was no surprise when he decided to do the same at a press parley in London to announce his UK tour dates.

Sabina Prempeh - Arbuah is an International Recording artist making waves in the USA, she is a Singer, Songwriter and a Passionate Worshipper whose heart cry is for people to experience God in a deep intimate way through worship and praise. Her primary goal is teaching and communicating the essence of true worship through song. She has been following my updates onPriscillazPlace and I  want to use this medium to say a big thank you to Sabina for having the courage to contact me. Priscilla: How did you start your music?

Sabina: My journey into music started when I was about 9 yrs old.  I discovered a vinyl record of Mahalia Jackson (an American gospel singer who in my opinion is a legend) amongst my dad's records.  Her story, passion and powerful voice drew me.  I remember just constantly listening to her music multiple times  - It touched me very deeply.. In retrospect I see that God used that to birth a desire to sing for Him at that tender age.  I started singing publicly when I was 13 years old when I joined my high school church choir and my journey continues to the present and through doors God has opened in recording projects and sharing HIS music with the world.

Sabina: Who are your inspiration?

There are many artists that inspire and have continued to inspire over the years.  I enjoy listening to different genres of anointed christian music.  To name a few Cece Winans, Micah Stampley, Tamela Mann, Kari Jobe, Marvin Sap, Andrea Crouch (Of Blessed Memory), Chris Tomlin, Micheal W. Smith  etc.   My passion is to worship - I am inspired and drawn to worshippers whose hearts cry for more of God's presence and deeper intimacy

Priscilla: Do you have a preference in the kind of audience you want?

Sabina: Any listener and any music lover looking for an opportunity to connect with God in a very real, deep and intimate way.

Priscilla What impact do you want your music to have?

Sabina: To the glory of God, we receive testimonies of what God has been doing through Sabina Music; touching and transforming  lives,  and most importantly drawing people close to Him. My fervent desire is that the Music He has given me will draw listeners into a real intimate experience with God as they connect with His wonderful presence.  That worship will be birthed in all hearts and for His healing, joy, deliverance and strength to be made manifest.  His  Presence carries the fullness of Him and all we would ever want  -therefore, having that is Everything

Priscilla: Tell me about your Experience on the famous Bobby Jones Show?

Sabina:It was phenomenal.  A wonderful atmosphere of the saints of God gathered in Praise and worship.  Meeting Dr. Bobby Jones was very humbling for me - I had watched him for years on TV and now here I was.  He is very down to earth, has a great personality and most importantly is crazy about Jesus.  It was a great honor and a blessing to be able to minister on His platform and to have the show air multiple times on TV.

Priscilla: What is the inspiration behind your album?

Sabina: My latest release is  a full project 'He Reigns!' It is an explosive compilation of praise and worship music.   The project was birthed out of experiences as well as in  times of worship. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is a compilation of original songs I wrote with a fusion of classics that will connect any listener closer to God.

  

Prior to the album, I released an Easter single 'He Chose the nails' inspired by the price Jesus paid on the cross for our sins.  The choice He did not have to make, nevertheless a choice He made out of His love for us.  To reconcile us with God.

Described as an "easy going" and creative person, Stewy is known for his unique taste in music. He is impulsive when making beats and tends to enjoy every minute of it. He is bold and enthusiastic – constantly thinking of new songs and new ideas wherever he goes. 

He has collaborated with various local artists such as Hunny-B, Wadee Meinie, Curlyfonia and Kwakie-G. 

Apart from this, he has worked with Thunda Ludaway, a well established artist and owner of Thunda Records from Ohio, USA. Thunda became the first International artist to collaborate with Lil Stewy, and he hopes for many more as time progresses. 

Stewy is currently signed to Shaloma Muzik Recordings, an independent indie Hip-Hop label based in Cape Town, South Africa. With its motto "Its' More Than Music, It's Art" – the label aims to revolutionize the Hip-Hop culture and the way Hip-Hop is perceived, motivating future generations to pursuing prosperous lives in upholding morals and ethics. The label operates in the midst of a city with the highest number of gang-related violence in the country and is constantly at work to help transform the lives of its listeners through its content.

I was on the internet when I came across the topic “Why Gospel Artists Have An Attitude?”.
So this reminded me of a call I received from Sonnie Badu's personal assistance in 2011. “Minister Sonnie might not come to Dublin for Seed of Life Concert because the airline was giving him unnecessary trouble” she said.

Fortunately he made it to Dublin and I sent a friend to pick him and his keyboardist from the airport. On arrival “they were quiet and were not talking”.  So I hurried up to go check up on him at the hotel so I can make sure they were settled in. So I bought grapes and Salmon. Surprisingly Sonnie Badu liked salmon and grapes and he was very pleasant.

Listening to Yolanda Adams Show, Marcus D Wiley explains that it is how these Guest Artist(s) are treated when they arrive at events that make them look like they have attitude.
Also he said “I am going to bust that out on Churches or event planners who know that the Gospel Artists are coming and when they land at the airport, you are not there to pick them on time.
Therefore, Artists get this attitude because they think you knew what time they would arrive, remember you sent the itinerary!”.

So only if we remember that these Gospel Artists still have other commitments such as secular job, looking after kids and spouse, community contribution and helping in their local churches. Despite all of these commitments, they try to be at the airport on time, travel the distance and when he/she land, there is no one there on time.

As we all say You don't know what we've been through. I can tell you Artists go through a lot to get there on time and the least you could do is pick them up on time and treat them nice!
