THE CALL
Well, I had always organized music events from my teenage years but at some point , I concentrated on production and artistry especially when I relocated my base to Lagos.
Well, I had always organized music events from my teenage years but at some point , I concentrated on production and artistry especially when I relocated my base to Lagos.
The negative influence of secular media and entertainment among young people and its dominant influence within the church had been of great concern to me over the years .That's one major reason why my career really concentrated on TV oriented productions.
I couldn't do much considering the huge financial outlay required to conclude a vision from concept to reality.
On a certain day, I was about to take a trip to Federal Polytechnic Ede to minister from Lagos and decided to check my Facebook account before jetting out. I saw this fresh mail from an old friend, now a Methodist Reverend, based in Port Harcourt . He saw a vision earlier that morning. He said he saw me organizing a huge music event somewhere in Osun State, with a mammoth crowd of youths praising God recklessly. He mentioned the fact that youths travelled in from all over the south west. He saw himself fly in from Port Harcourt to attend the event.
I took it very lightly, but in the next couple of weeks, 2 friends called from different locations abroad on the need to re-ignite such outreach platforms we did together in our teenage days. Right there, I knew God was speaking and there was no hiding place for me again. I called few friends, we met, prayed, deliberated and by Saturday of that same week, we travelled down to Osogbo for the first ground breaking network.
The premiere edition of MASS at Osogbo happened exactly how Rev Femi Precious saw it.

ARTISTES
We've hosted the ministries of Segun Obe, Sola Allyson, Okiki Jesu, Provabs, Nikki Laoye, Psalmos, TIV, Ibironke, Vivien Stephen, Nene, DBass, Okey Sokay, C-STAS, Gamie, LcBeatz, SMS while we've hosted Joint Campus choirs from Federal Polytechnic Ede, Ekiti state University, Federal Polytechic Ado Ekiti, Osun state Polytechnic Iree as well as Community Youth Mass choirs from Osogbo, Ilesa, Ile-Ife, Ado Ekiti, Ikere Ekiti within our two years of touring.
CHALLENGES
Like every ministerial/entrepreneurial effort, FINANCE is always a key challenge. We've had to constantly battle the mindset that donations to church are superior in value than other itinerant ministries.
We have stayed committed to the vision as much as we have the wherewithal. Great attention is paid to the overall excellence and quality of sound, lights, welfare and other logistics which makes every outreach to gulp millions of naira.
God has really been faithful. Our partners too, have been very committed. The more we move from city to city, more kingdom minded people are seeing the value and are also committing more resources.
We always had to battle the usual suspicion that trails every non-church based initiative. '' like'' who are they? ''are they using us to start a church? ...hope they won't move our youths away?''etc but as soon as they see our plain intentions, we get maximum cooperation from ministries.

Other challenges are spiritual. Despite the entertainment value, the ultimate purpose and intent is battle for souls and making God more acceptable and famous on our streets and among young people. At each location, we've had to confront several ''ARRANGEMENTs'' ..lol..but God always gives the victory. Time, space and its sensitivity might not make me go into details. We've had to confronts situations within this two years whereby, all trucks bringing our equipments got spoilt midway from Lagos. Another truck conveying generating set skidded off the road into the bush . Mystery rain gathering before show time etc.
MASS 2015
This will be the 3rd Edition which we've dubbed the Trinity Edition. It will hold in a New state and city which we are already working on. The announcement will be made in a Special Press Release. It will be a great night of Music as usual and we expect a mighty move of God once again on the street.
It will be a fresh injection of frontline gospel artistes who will be ministering at MASS for the first time, while our affiliate ministers will be back to impact life to the thousands of young people.
MASS SQUAD which is the standing band for all the invited artistes will be expanded to accommodate more talents from the two states we've toured to give a wider platform of expression.
We're also believing God to raise enough budget to acquire State of the Art Stage, Sound and Lighting equipment which positions us to be able to increase events frequency.
MASSGig which is the Campus based Edition of MASS will also be kick started this year. discussions are on going with several campus based groups and choirs and in subsequent months we shall be holding a smaller, more compact edition of MASS in various schools.
